A fuel rail is a simple pipe system which has ends attached in between four and eight locations for most automotive engines. Each end is seated within each injector and functions to supply fuel to the injectors. Engines which utilize multi-point fuel injection will utilize a fuel rail to ensure an even flow of fuel to each one of the individual injectors. The stock Civic Si rail offers a fairly effective flow of fuel to the injectors. A number of high performance aftermarket fuel rails also exist for the Civic Si. These aftermarket fuel rails usually offer improved fuel flow to allow for a higher level of fuel being delivered to the injectors. This ensures there is enough fuel for the injection when running the engine at high RPM during acceleration or while traveling at high speeds.
